Familiar Post
A monthly correspondence from the Archive. Dispatches on the first of the month. Subscribe now; your inaugural correspondence mails August 1.
Somewhere, a crow is filing a report he did not want to write. This is where it gets sent.
Familiar Post is a monthly mail subscription from Caw & Curio - official correspondence issued by the Archive and its long-suffering archivist, Inkling. You are not a subscriber. You are a correspondent: a witness on record, assigned a file number, expected to participate and keep notes in your journal.
Each month arrives as a dossier.
From the Stacks - Inkling's monthly incident report. What was lost, what was found, what the squirrel did this time.
Archive Reference Card - the complete file on the month's specimen. Lore, botanicals, and a ritual or spell tied to its nature. Written in the Archive's own hand.
Correspondent Field Notes - your testimony, formally requested in your journal. The record is incomplete without it.
Field Sketch Postcard - the specimen as it lived, before acquisition. Suitable for framing. Not that anyone asked.
Specimen Stickers - field documentation, in parts.
Plus, rotating archive materials as the month requires - a redacted document, a corrupted index, a certification exam, a recovered audio log. The Archive decides. Inkling complies, reluctantly.
Twelve months. One unfolding mystery. A crow who will deny caring and mean none of it.
